Maurach Castle and the Lake Dwelling Museum in Unteruhldingen, with original pile dwellings from the Stone and Bronze Ages and the ARD/SWR film village for the documentary "Stone Age - the Experiment" as well as the Reptile House, our sports harbour and the beautiful, admission-free natural beach on Lake Constance offer you cultural experiences that you rarely find in a community.

The ARD news programme made it known: with neutral measurements from all weather stations in Germany, it was impressively proven that Uhldingen-Mühlhofen is by far the sunniest community in Germany!

Basilika Birnau

The pilgrimage church of Birnau is a baroque church on the northern shore of Lake Constance, between the towns of Nußdorf and Uhldingen-Mühlhofen in Baden-Württemberg, which is subject to the matronage of Mary (Assumption, 15 August and Visitation, 2 July). It was built from 1746 to 1749 by the Vorarlberg master builder Peter Thumb for the imperial abbey of Salem.

It currently comprises 23 lake dwellings.
